Why Study in Coast Mountains School District?
Here are a few reasons to choose our school district for your international experience:
- High-quality personalized education
- Safety and the culture and friendliness of a small community
- Outdoor year-round recreational activities and hands-on environmental educational opportunities
- English language development
ELL (English Language Learner) programs are available at all schools to support the needs of international students.
Prior to acceptance in our International Student Program students will be required to complete a language proficiency assessment such as the TOEFL or IELTS.
The International English Language Testing System or IELTS is a test developed by the world’s leading experts in language assessment on four key English language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. It is designed to assess the language ability of people who aim to study, work, immigrate and integrate an English-speaking environment. Visit their Canadian website to learn more at https://www.ieltscanada.ca/.
Principals at our middle and secondary schools assist in the daily needs of the visiting students and are committed to providing the best care and support for each individual student.
Middle and/or secondary counsellors are assigned to each student to assist with course selection, developing a graduation plan, and for daily personal support. Entry times are September and January/February.
Our school district has a guaranteed direct-entry agreement with the local Northwest Community College for your post-secondary studies.
