Our school district is part of the public education school system operated by the Province of British Columbia’s Ministry of Education.  The Ministry of Education ensures that there is consistent delivery of education throughout all sixty provincial school districts.

Our International Student Program encompasses Grades 9 to 12, Full-Year (10 months) and One-Semester (5 months) Programs in fully integrated programs with Canadian students.

International Student Expectations

Prior to acceptance in our International Student Program students will be required to complete a language proficiency assessment such as the TOEFL or IELTS. 

The Test of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL is the most widely respected English-language test in the world, recognized by more than 9,000 colleges, universities and agencies in more than 130 countries, including Australia, Canada, the U.K. and the United States.  Visit their website to learn more at: https://www.ets.org/toefl.

The International English Language Testing System or IELTS is a test developed by the world’s leading experts in language assessment on four key English language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. It is designed to assess the language ability of people who aim to study, work, immigrate and integrate an English-speaking environment.

Principals at our middle and secondary schools assist in the daily needs of the visiting students and are committed to providing the best care and support for each individual student.

Middle and/or secondary counsellors are assigned to each student to assist with course selection, developing a graduation plan, and for daily personal support.  Entry times are September and January/February.
